The Governor is a new construction by Killam Properties at the corner of Hollis & Bishop Street in Halifax. It is a modest scale residential building with views of the Halifax Harbour.
Alumitech has been contracted to supply and install windows, curtainwalls and composite aluminum panels for this project.
All window and curtain wall framing was constructed using Kawneer's 1600UT series with a black anodized finish.
Operable windows within said framing were phantom vents that are structrually glazed and frameless at their perimeter.
The glazing portion of the scope implemented an intelligent design feature by laminating the interior lite of the sealed units to combat the noise of heavy city traffic.
For the finishing touch, there will be composite aluminum cladding at the perimeter cornice and upper penthouse.
