This portion of the Dalhousie University Campus is being stripped of its brick veneer. Although a portion of the building is being re-cladded with brick, the perimeter of top two floors will be receiving a completely new facade of curtain wall, and composite aluminum panels.

Alumitech will be using Kawneers 1600 UT (Ultra-Thermal) Curtain Wall system, complete with triple glazed vision glass units, and double glazed spandrel glass units. All glazing will have a blue dotted frit pattern. In the spandrel areas we will be constructing a "Shadow Box" Detail, which consists of; double glazed spandrel exterior, air space, 0.050" aluminum sheet, insulation, back pan. This will create depth in the spandrel areas, making for a very interesting appearance. The curtain walls will be intermediately broken up by large walls of anodic clear composite panels. We will also be replacing all punched windows.
