At the Bedford Institute of Oceanography, the "Strickland Building" will be receiving a new facade in the following year.
The general contractor will be demolishing the existing brick veneer on the front and back of the building, to make way for two large multistorey curtain walls that will be taking its place.
The curtain walls will be constructed from Kaweers 1600 System 1 & 2, with a combination of structurally glazed and captured mullions. There are also a series of punched window openings that will be replaced with window frames fabricated from Kawneer's 1602 Series.
